Africa investor (Ai) today confirmed that Dr. Hubert Danso, its CEO and Chairman, and the Chairman of the African Union’s Continental Business Network (CBN), and the African Green Infrastructure Investment Bank (AfGIIB), has been appointed to the Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) Advisory Council, a flagship initiative of His Majesty King Charles III.
A4S was established by His Majesty King Charles III in 2004, when he was The Prince of Wales, to convene global finance, investment, and accounting leaders to catalyze action on sustainability and transform finance to make sustainable business the norm.
As a member of this prestigious High-Level Advisory Council, Dr Danso’s role will be to provide thought leadership, share African perspectives to the Councils global insights and provide guidance on the strategic objectives of the Council, and share his vast institutional investment expertise and experience, to assist shape the Council’s work, especially that of the A4S Asset Network.
The A4S Asset Owners Network is a grouping of chairs of pension funds, their pooling partners, investment committees and endowments. Covering both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes from multi-employer and large single employer schemes within both the private and public sector.
The focus of the A4S Asset Owners Network is on the role of pension fund chairs and trustees and how they can adapt to, and scale up adoption of, good practice.
